"A 26-YEAR-OLD Indian trader engaged in the “5-6” business was shot dead by one of four robbers after he resisted their attempt to kidnap and rob him in Angono, Rizal over the weekend, police said yesterday.

Pardeep Singh died on the spot from a gunshot wound in the head, a report from the Police Regional Office 4-A said.

An investigation showed that the victim had just collected payments from his customers at Purok III, Zone 1, Yupangco Cotton Mills Compound in Barangay Mahabang Parang when the incident occurred.

The suspects, who were on board a silver Nissan Sentra without license plates, approached the victim as he was about to drive his motorcycle and handcuffed him before dragging him inside their getaway vehicle.

However, the Indian was able to unlock the door and get out of the car. The suspects pursued the victim, who continued to resist, prompting one of the armed men to shoot him.

PRO4-A director Chief Supt. Samuel Pagdilao, Jr. ordered Rizal Police Provincial Office director Senior Supt. Manuel Prieto to launch a massive hunt for the suspects."
